چکیده

The Conlara Metamorphic Complex, the easternmost complex of Sierra de San Luis, is a key unit to understand relationship between late Proterozoic-Early Cambrian Pampean and Upper Cambrian-Middle Ordovician Famatinian orogenies Eastern Sierras Pampeanas. Complex extends east foothills Comechingones west up Río Guzmán shear zone. main rock types CMC are metaclastic metaigneous rocks that intruded by Devonian granitoids. units comprise fine medium-grained metagreywackes scarce metapelites with lesser amounts tourmaline schists tourmalinites whereas encompass basic granitoids rocks. former occur as rare amphibolite interlayered within metasedimentary granitic component corresponds series orthogneisses migmatites (stromatite diatexite). divided in four groups based on dominant lithological associations: Martin La Cocha correspond mainly some gneisses Santa Rosa Felipe paragneisses, orthogneisses. Metamoprphic underwent polyphase metamorphic evolution. penetrative D 2 -S foliation was affected upright, generally isoclinal, N-NE trending 3 folds control NNE outcrop patterns different groups. Dating of Precambrian Metasedimentary Rocks and Timing of their Metamorphism in the Soursat Metamorphic Complex (NW IRAN): Using LA–ICP-MS, U–Pb Dating of Zircon and Monazite

Soursat Metamorphic Complex (SMC) in west of Takab city is one of the polyphase metamorphic terrenes in northern Sanandaj-Sirjan metamorphic belt of Iran. The SMC composed mainly of metasedimentary rocks associated with granitic intrusions. Based on metamorphic rocks, two metamorphic phases could be separate in the complex. M1 is representative of regional metamorphisms which varies from greens...

Comparative isotopic and chemical geochronometry of monazite, with implications for U-Th-Pb dating by electron microprobe: An example from metamorphic rocks of the eastern Wyoming Craton (U.S.A.)

Polygenetic monazite grains in diverse Precambrian crystalline rocks from the Black Hills, South Dakota, have been analyzed in situ by ion and electron microprobe methods (SHRIMP and EMP), to evaluate the accuracy and precision of EMP ages determined using a new analytical protocol that incorporates improved background acquisition and interference corrections. Parallel evaluations were conducte...

Metamorphic evolution of high-pressure Quartz Schists in the Chadegan metamorphic complex, Sanandaj-Sirjan zone, Iran

The Chadegan metamorphic complex is a WNW-ESE- trending antiformal structure located in Sanandaj-Sirjan structural zone, Iran. The inner core of the structure is made of orthogneiss, containing eclogitic lenses. Schists and marbles lie structurally above theorthogneiss and crop out in the external limbs of the antiformal dome. Two main deformational episodes have been documented in theschists an...
